Position Summary
We are currently seeking Faculty-Veterinary for a part-time/ full-time position. This position appeals to those who are passionate about the field and enjoy teaching others. It involves the balance of a teaching load in the Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant programs with clinic management including surgical and routine animal care while ensuring animal care standards are consistently upheld. We are looking for candidates who can join ASAP.
Key Accountabilities
- Overview and regulation of the Oulton College Veterinary Clinic day-to-day function
- Involvement with the Animal Care Committee
- Assists in attaining and maintaining program accreditation with NBVMA, CVMA, and ACC
- Teaching and monitoring student progress
- Monitor student success with regular feedback on progress. Take action/initiatives where necessary.
- Record Keeping, Attendance (using electronic format as per Company policy).
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative activities.
Education & Experience
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- New Brunswick practicing license in good standing (or able to obtain)
- At least 5 years of experience in small animal medicine with significant comfort with spay/neuter/dental procedures
- Have an interest in lifelong learning
- Enjoy the dynamics of teaching and learning, both in the classroom and clinical setting
