About Us:

We are looking for an amazing full time or part time DVM to join our team at Chester Basin Animal Hospital.  This hospital is located just over 30 minutes from the city of Bedford and Halifax on the picturesque South Shore.  Our primary focus is on prevention and education, offering individually tailored care to our patients and their families.  We are a supportive group, so are open to part time or can offer a three, four or five day full time schedule if desired.  We also own four other hospitals within HRM, so we have a large network of DVMs and team members who work together to collaborate, share experiences, generate ideas and support one another whenever needed.  We have a formal onboarding/training process as well as regular upskilling sessions, internal wet labs and 1:1 surgical training as needed (ex. large dog spays, dental wetlabs, etc).  Because of our diverse and supportive team, new veterinarians are welcome to apply and will be supported in their early career growth.   We are close to the city and are closed holidays, Sundays and overnights – no on call!
