Associate Veterinarian – Complete Care Hospital for Pets (112424)

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Looking for a fresh start? Rediscover your passion for healing animals and building relationships with clients in a fun and friendly atmosphere. We enjoy an environment of collaboration and intellectual growth where learning is encouraged with open, honest and approachable management. The team at Complete Care Hospital for Pets is excited to be expanding to a three doctor practice! We are in search of a Full-Time or Part-Time Small Animal Associate DVM to join the team in serving the community with quality veterinary care and authentic, genuine client service.

About Us

We are proud to be an independently owned mixed animal practice, predominantly consisting of small animal patients with a limited equine clientele and a growing exotic caseload. We have many of the amenities that larger facilities have, are fully computerized in every exam room and are mostly paperless using Avimark. We are also excited about our newly expanded facility with six exam rooms!

We offer a small hometown family feel with an exceptional team that will go the extra mile for the doctors, our patients and the clients. They are truly passionate about their role. We love building relationships with our clients and it makes us proud to hear them rave about how well we take care of them!

This opportunity can also be ideal for new graduates, as we can provide a structured mentorship program (with references)! Candidates with the following knowledge, skills and abilities are encouraged to apply.

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) licensed by the NSVMA (or eligibility for licensing)
  • Maintain a commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
  • Remain focused on progressive, quality care AND client satisfaction
  • An educational approach to client communication. The more our clients know - the better care they can take of their pets.
  • Any interest in exotics (rabbits, rodents and pocket pets) or equine medicine would be an asset as these are areas where the practice can expand on services needed by the community. We are also interested in finding someone willing to help us resume house call services and providing veterinary services to remote areas along the Eastern Shore.

Pay & Benefits

A competitive compensation package will be designed to reflect your qualifications and the number of days/hours you are available to work. There is room for negotiation so let’s talk!

In addition to competitive pay, other benefits include NSVMA and CVMA dues, liability insurance, medical/dental coverage, long term disability insurance, employer contributions for RRSP’s, paid CE days and allowance, paid vacation and sick days, uniforms and discounted pet care.

Emergency coverage for our small animal clientele is provided by Metro Animal Emergency Clinic.
