Office Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association (NSVMA)
The NSVMA is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant to support the administrative and operational functions of the Association.
This is an hourly, part-time position with some flexibility for remote work; however, the successful candidate must be able to attend the NSVMA office in Lower Sackville as required for meetings and other in-person tasks.
Hours & Compensation
· Average 15 hours per week
· Busier periods during licence renewals (November–December and June–July), up to 20–25 hours per week
· $24–$29 per hour, depending on experience
· Infrequent evening or weekend work may be required
Key Responsibilities
· General office administrative support
· Manage licensing renewals and member records
· Support facility accreditation and inspection processes
· Maintain databases, registers, and website content
· Coordinate correspondence, inquiries, and advertising postings
· Liaise with external partners and service providers
Qualifications
· Strong organizational and administrative skills
· Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
· Experience with database management and Excel is an asset
· Familiarity with the veterinary profession or a regulatory environment is beneficial
