Who We Are
Weste Animal Hospital is an independently owned, small animal practice nestled in the heart of Lawrencetown—just 30 minutes from Halifax and Dartmouth, and only minutes from some of Nova Scotia’s most beautiful beaches, hiking trails, and ocean views.
We’ve recently completed a full renovation of our building, creating a modern, spacious, and fully equipped clinic designed with both clients and team members in mind.
Our team includes five experienced veterinarians who enjoy collaborating and sharing knowledge in areas like surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. We work hard, laugh often, and take pride in the care we provide to our patients and each other.
The Position
- Start Date: July 2025
- Schedule: 4-day workweek, no weekends
- Appointment Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with regular lunch breaks
- Caseload includes wellness, medicine, surgery, dentistry, and client education
- A strong team culture with support for mentorship, continuing education, and professional development
- Support from an experienced, well-trained team of RVTs, assistants and receptionists

What We’re Looking For
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in Nova Scotia
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Confidence in general practice skills
- A sense of humor and an appreciation for a well-timed treat in the breakroom (like ice cream cake on your birthday!)
