About the Opportunity! The ideal candidate for the Medical Director position will be confident and excited about building a strong team that aligns with our values. You see your team as an integral part of the broader team and you focus on taking the time to know each member, knowing that each person requires a tailored approach when it comes to learning, performance and attaining set out goals. Some key responsibilities include:
- Along with your main role as lead veterinarian, providing expertise to ensure optimal patient care; coaching teams in the realm of wellness plans, preventative and overall patient care.
- Review and enhance protocols when required according to regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of teamwork and exceptional client service.
- Partner with hospital leadership to assess financial performance and operations, addressing areas for improvement and celebrating achievements regularly
What you bring to this role:
- Dedication to promoting team-based medicine practices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents and community
- Exceptional coaching, guiding & mentoring capabilities for your medical and support teams
- Passion for developing personally and professionally; prior experience leading medical teams is an asset but not required
