We are currently looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dedicated veterinary team for a 12-month maternity leave coverage. - Develop expertise in handling a range of clinical technologies, including bloodwork, radiology, and in-hospital laboratory diagnostics (IDEXX ProCyte, Catalyst One, and SediVue)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Veterinary Technician at AprilVets, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, and radiographs
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients
- Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Perform anesthesia monitoring and post-surgical recovery care
- Help maintain medical records and ensure patient care is accurately documented in our cloud-based system
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, or LVT) with a degree or diploma in Veterinary Technology
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but we also welcome recent graduates eager to develop their skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and protocols
- Compassionate, client-focused attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Compensation and Benefits:

- Competitive hourly rate starting at $25/hr
