Registered Veterinary Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, such as blood tests, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after surgery
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and wound management
- Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and general health of their pets
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, surgical areas, and laboratory equipment
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments and managing client communications when needed
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with animals and their owners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
